The Ungoogleable Michaelangelo will take you on a behind-the-seen exploration of the ideas and adventures behind his oracular artwork in this psychoactive One Man Show, where the one man contains multitudes. The uncanny likeness of Terence McKenna and Werner Herzog’s voices may make guest appearances through his vessel.
Michaelangelo will regale you with his multivalent bardistry in an attempt to instill wonder. He’ll tell you about how he followed the call to journey to a snail-shaped time machine in the Mexican jungle—a place he called home until that home started eating him alive. He will illustrate how precognition and synchronicity can be invoked and practically applied. Much of the performance will evolve around the theme of “pareidolia as a daemonic interface,” through which one may connect with the immanent nature of culture, pop open portals that lead towards the invention of new dimensions, and reclaim lost continents of the psyche.

The show’s first iteration came into being when I first left the jungle last summer, in conjunction with my solo art exhibition in NYC. At the time I thought of it as a one-off storytelling presentation, but it quickly became clear that the thing wanted to travel and grow.
It’s become a dynamic living thing, never quite the same river twice. Though the experience revolves around a core set of ideas, I tend to adjust the contents with each performancy, adding to and subtracting from it in conjunction with how life continues to challenge, evolve, and unfold the Living Lore.
